Mission Statement

Laura G. Hose Elementary School, in partnership with parents and the community, is committed to building a culture of excellence by fostering the academic, intellectual, emotional, social, moral, and physical growth of the whole child. HES Students will be able to read and write at grade level and master the state standards.

Hose Curriculum

Curriculum is aligned with the Indiana Academic Standards. Teachers have constructed (and continually revise) curriculum maps that specify which standards should be taught and which should be carried over for continued practice in order to maintain mastery. Each teacher has a copy of the Standards that are appropriate for the grades and subjects that they teach in addition to their curriculum maps (including related arts teachers).

Curriculum Frameworks are also provided to each teacher, and these resources are used as part of the
regular and supplemental teaching activities. Teachers use Teacher Editions of textbooks adopted by
the Crawfordsville Community School Corporation, and these contain links to Indiana Academic
Standards.
